Outside the ring, Wyatt was known by his birth name, Windham Rotunda. He had been on a hiatus from WWE for several months, grappling with an undisclosed health ailment. While he had been associated with WWE since 2009, there was a surprising release for just over a year spanning 2021 and 2022. Rotunda made a comeback to WWE in September of the previous year, marked by significant excitement and an enigmatic narrative.
