It all unfolded during a candid conversation between the two on a popular television show ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’. Gill, known for his elegant stroke play and emerging as one of India’s brightest cricketing prospects, didn’t shy away from light-hearted banter with the charming actress.
The exchange began when Gill, with a playful grin, posed the question, “Have you ever gone on a date with a cricketer?” The question left Sonam momentarily surprised, and a faint blush spread across her face. However, she quickly regained her composure and responded in a witty yet enigmatic manner.
Sonam, known for her roles in Punjabi and South Indian cinema, cleverly replied: “No.” Then a hooter sound was heard, which indicated that she has spoke a lie. The two celebs soon shared a laugh.
When asked to speak the truth, she said: “Well, Shubman, cricketers are known for their straight drives, but sometimes it’s nice to keep a few secrets in the offing.” Her response left the audience in splits and added an air of mystery to her dating history.
While the conversation was filled with playful banter, it highlighted the camaraderie that often exists between sports stars and celebrities from other fields. Such interactions provide fans with a glimpse into the off-field lives of their favourite public figures and add an element of relatability.
